Fire Prevention Tips

There are many things that could cause a house fire. There are also many easy steps that we can take to prevent fires and keep our homes and families safe.

Some tips are as follows-

-Ensure that appliances are turned off and/or unplugged after use and before leaving the house.

-Check smoke alarms regularly to ensure that they are in working condition and have working batteries in them.

-Ensure that heaters are not blocked and there is nothing flammable placed near them.

-Inspect your chimney annually

-Have an emergency plan and escape route in place for the entire family should an emergency occur
